Leadership

Abhishek Raj was born and raised in Patna, Bihar. When growing up, he and his brother Gautam were very poor and lived in the slums. They did not have basic needs such as food and proper shelter. Because their parents could not afford to give them an education, they ran the streets, lost, without direction or hope of a future. Then, a follower of God came into their life, taught them about God’s love, and provided them with an education. Their lives were changed forever. As a young adult, Abhishek wanted to give the same hope to other slum children in his community. In 2014 he founded Stephen’s International School in Pun Pun, Bihar. God made a way for him to establish a school in which the community could send their children to receive a premium education, with morally sound teachers and staff, at a much lower cost than the current school systems. Many children whose parents were below the poverty level have been blessed to receive an education for free. Otherwise, these children would have been just like Abhishek, wandering the streets just trying to survive.Abhishek and his family have a growing spiritual community of over 200 families who prayerfully come alongside them in these ministries.

Our Beliefs

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16We believe God’s Word and his Spirit are the ultimate truth and guide for every relationship, charity, or service we provide. Whatever the individual’s needs are, we have a call on our lives to be God’s ambassador for them. The word of God has the final say in every endeavor of ours. God taught us to be servants to the least of these. There are many people who need help. We want to show them in both word and deed how their heavenly Father would respond to them and their needs.Lost Sparrows is a term derived from this passage in the Holy Bible:“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air: They do not sow or reap or gather into barns— and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” Matthew 6: 25-26Many feel alone or are literally alone. God leads us to them, and we are prayerful and intentional about bringing our people into a safe place with God’s family where they can grow in their walk with God alongside others who want the same.We believe that God loves us so much that he gave his only son to die for us. There is nothing that can separate us from the love of God. We are all sinners that fall short of the glory of God. No one is perfect, and we all need someone to save us from our sin nature. God’s son took the debt we owed for our sins upon himself so we could be made right with God. Now we can come into an intimate relationship with God as our own Father. God forgave us, he adopted us, and he loves us. And that truth alone is what changes us from the inside. Anything good that comes from our life is from God, and our heart’s desire is to bless him because of His kindness to us when we did not deserve it. We understand God’s love for all people. So, when we help others, it is not to earn God’s favor, but it is out of thankfulness to God that he has already given us undeserved favor. We want to bless him by blessing his people the way He did for us.
